One of my favorite Summer activities is boating and I thought why not bring that nautical vibe to our dinner table! Some weeknight dinners with friends/family can be really casual but still fun and pretty to look at right? This table setting was super easy. As I’ve mentioned before, my mom shares my love of entertaining and has quite the collection of goods. We always joke when she gets new pieces that it’s been added to the ‘inventory’. Super lucky that I get to take advantage of her fab taste! I mean, you did get your pieces for us to share, right mom??
She purchased these beautiful blue glasses (here)last year…that actually are for me…at least I’m pretty sure she said that. I knew I wanted to use them with just simple white dinnerware and these pretty silver napkins. I was out running errands one day and didn’t have time to pick up flowers. My errands happened to take me to Pier 1 and I figured I’d look for a cool centerpiece. I wasn’t pressed to find one though, I’d just go with candles if not. Reminder: you don’t always have to buy something, use what you have! I did find this pretty dolphin that I liked, grabbed and headed home to set the table. Added my pieces to one of my favorite silver chargers, flanked by simple silverware, and that was that! Clean, simple and serving a nautical vibe without being too cliche!
