You already know that Mackenzie-Childs is a staple in our home (maybe you’ve noticed- 1,2,3,4,5 just to name a few). I just adore it! My go-to is the courtly check collection, but let’s be honest I want it all. So, when the MC team thoughtfully gifted me a couple items from their Spring collection, I selected one of them and made it the centerpiece of my Spring tablescape. My centerpiece/muse? The large practical pitcher from the Morning Glory collection! The loveliest thing about the morning glory collection is the pretty floral pattern. It is just bright enough and adds a great pop of color and contrasting design pattern to the courtly check pieces I paired it with. I’ll be honest, I did decide to indulge. What do I mean? I just might’ve picked up the morning glory enamelware plates and bowls to match the pitcher I was gifted. I’d been eyeing them anyway so might as well…right? #justsayyes
Morning Glory Pitcher or Vase?
I loved this pitcher and I decided since I was setting a pretty table for just me and my hubby, why not use the pitcher as a vase instead of being for drinks. Multipurpose for the win!
Courtly Check Collection
The courtly check is the first Mackenzie-Childs collection I started collecting. I live in and for black and white so it was the obvious first choice. It is classic, yet whimsical and can be dressed up or down depending the occasion. While I still have SOOO many more pieces to acquire, I love using what I do have in many different (and beautiful) ways. For this tablescape, I decided to have the courtly check be the base and the morning glory pieces to accent. Starting with the courtly check charger, which helped make the morning glory dinner plate and bowl pop!
The napkins, napkin rings, salt and pepper shakers, bread plate and knife – all MC! You’re probably wondering how I could be wanting more…have you checked out the size of the collection…I’ve barely made a dent!
What I love most is creating simple, yet elegant, table settings, even when it’s just for me and my mister. It makes entertaining and enjoying ‘home’ even more special!
