Welp, still doesn’t feel like Spring in the DC area and boy is it tough to take! I’m so over cold weather and coats. So, i’m just going to keep trying to ‘will’ Spring to really come by making home feel like it… As for outside…that’s a different story. Thought I’d share 3 tips for decorating your home for Spring!

Fresh Blooms

Let’s be honest this is a year round must for our household. I LOVE FRESH FLOWERS! There’s nothing like pretty blooms to look at around the house. I love white roses and it’s a go-to year round, but I do like selecting seasonal flowers as well. I’ve been hooked on tulips and hyacinth lately – they just scream and smell like Spring!

I wonder how much we (read I) spend a year on flowers…lord have mercy…If flowers aren’t your thing and you don’t want to shop for them weekly, like I do. Try succulents – fresh green plants are lovely to look at as well. You could also go with a floral and greenery wreath for you door.

Add Some Color

Whether your pillows or decorative accessories around the house, add some color! Try it with colorful floral prints, bright vases, or accent pieces, a bright coffee table book, and more! Everything! It will brighten your home and your mood.

Set The Table

Refresh your dining table (especially when entertaining) with some Spring table decor! Choose a fabulous bright colored or floral charger to set your everyday (or special occasion) dinnerware on. Don’t miss the opportunity to think color and prints with your table linens (tablecloth, napkins, etc). If you’re not into prints, maybe go with a lighter texture for the season, like linen (these are great and I use them year round).
