As soon as the excitement of Christmas dies down and you feel like you can breathe a sigh of relief from holiday preparations, New Years Eve quickly follows! Then, the stress of figuring out what to do, where to go, what to wear, etc. is swirling around in your head. My hubby and his friends typically make the ‘plans’ for New Years. I use ‘plans’ loosely because inevitably it is determined last minute (as in, within 48hrs or less) which only causes more stress on my end. Why? Because, ladies need to know where we are going and what to wear – DUH! Guys don’t think about these things. I’m a planner by nature, I need to deets, darling!
Honestly, can we bring back the days of watching the ball drop on our couch with a glass of champs instead of going out to a party? Don’t get me wrong, it’s fun, I’m just over it. Let’s do an activity or better yet, CHILL (preferably in pjs lol)! Probably won’t get that lucky this year because the guys are trying to figure out a game plan as I type this. So, given that I don’t know what’s happening, I decided not to create more anxiety and get a couple outfits now. Outfits that I could wear wherever the night takes us and could dress up or down for a night out!
Enter cute new shop, Hey Chick, that a friend of a friend launched this year! They have fab outfits (and new items getting added frequently) that are affordable and on trend! When I saw this black jumpsuit, I had to have it. It’s funny, I used to not care for jumpsuits but over the past year or two, I’ve been drawn to them. What I love about them is that they are often so comfortable and when thinking of NYE, I thought it could be a great option! First of all, you can never go wrong with black (which you know is my favorite color). Secondly, this jumpsuit is simple on it’s own but with its sexy deep V, these tassel earrings, this Gucci belt and these heels (now on sale), is great for a night out. The best thing about a classic black jumpsuit is that you can wear it again and again. Don’t you ever find that the sparkly, sequin covered dresses you get for NYE you don’t often wear again because it screams New Years? Well, maybe it’s just me. I like to find pieces that I can wear again and just change the way I wear it. A black jumpsuit like this one, can be a great wardrobe staple!
