Fall really is my favorite season, and for some reason, it doesn’t want to stick around long enough to enjoy! #rude I can’t seem to retire some of my Summer clothes, because one day its 65 in DC and another its 85 – like c’mon mother nature, make up your mind already girlfriend! It makes getting dressed for work and dressed for days and nights out difficult. Thankfully, I have a few go-tos to make that transitional Fall style a little easier.

I love a midi/maxi dress…

A maxi dress, is one of my fashion must-haves! One, they are comfy, two, they are often flowy (so it’s perfect for heading out to dinners where you know you’re going to pig out!). Three, they are the best for adding a sweater or jacket over to take you from warm days to cooler nights. This Misa Los Angeles dress from local boutique, Luna, is definitely a favorite for Summer and Fall.

Making that Fall transition…

This off the shoulder look is flirty and the tiered ruffles give a little cha cha cha, but without being too much. If wearing it during Summer, I would wear with a flat or heeled sandal. For Fall, however, I love pairing it with these peep toe booties, from Zara (old, but similar here). To top off the look, a leather jacket over the shoulders gives it an edgy and seasonally appropriate look! When it comes to accessories, I chose these tiered tassel earrings from BaubleBar, which went well with the tiered dress. For makeup, I went with a vampy lip –  my favorite is one of the Kylie Lip Kits (no shame) in Leo.

Luna Bethesda for the win…

Luna is a local boutique just outside of DC, in Bethesda, MD. I used to shop there more frequently when my office was around the corner. Recently, I stopped in and met the lovely ladies there, who by the way have great style. Plus, they can help you put together some fabulous looks for whatever your occasion! Since, I’m a huge dress fan, that’s what I was going in looking for and they led me to the Misa Los Angeles dresses (I believe they are one of the few carriers of the brand in our area). They have quickly become a new favorite! I love the flirty and flouncy dresses that transition seasonally and by occasion beautifully.
