Officially counting down to Halloween…and my available window to find a costume. Get it together, Danai! Ugh. Our new (as of 2017) marble kitchen shelves are constantly getting tweaked for each season. I’ve dressed them up for Spring and Summer and with Fall here, I switched added a few goodies.
You don’t have to over do it…
Less is always more, in my opinion and that’s how I look at seasonal and holiday styling. Why? Because it’s not overwhelming when it comes time to change. Keep your staple pieces out and just add subtle changes. For me, my staples are my Crate and Barrel Tour glassware collection. As well as a couple of bottles of champagne (because well, obviously) and sparkling or flavored waters (for a pop of color). I don’t typically go for super traditional colors or accents because I like it to go with our style. Plus, not really a fan of orange…and we don’t live in a Halloween fun/fright house. You won’t find things like, spider webs and orange pumpkins at the Sky residence.
Transition to Fall…
To add a festive look, I added a few white pumpkins and my gold skull from Z Gallerie. – that’s it! Told you, I like to keep it simple! My Mackenzie-Childs cookie jar that I use for candy (I keep out year round) and ties into my festive table setting as well. #details Don’t forget my Khloe Kardashian inspired cookie jars ( a guilty pleasure that we just might indulge in a bit too much). You could add a some copper pieces to refresh for the Fall or switch out any cookbooks (in my case) or coffee table books that work with the color scheme you desire. Or, just add in some florals in a seasonal color – boom!
Don’t have shelves to dress up, use your bar cart or coffee table and make the same subtle changes. Switching things up makes me not get bored and makes me extra happy to come home to something new!
