Black and White Basics

I live in (and for) black and white! It is my basically my ‘uniform’ and go-to in all things. Maybe you’ve noticed my Mackenzie-Childs courtly check collection featured recently? Black and white transcends fashion for me. I love how clean the look can be either singularly or together. Those that know me, know you often will see me in black on black on black and then some white. Another style trend I’ve gotten from my mom, who also lives in the same combo.

“Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.” ~ Coco Chanel

Couldn’t agree more!!! Go figure, considering Coco Chanel is legendary and my all time favorite!

Black and White is a wardrobe essential…

If you ask me, because they go with anything, black and white should be a staple in ones wardrobe. Just saying… I love denim and Topshop has the best fitting jeans on me. They are my go-to and I have them in like every color/style. I also give kudos to Khloe K for getting me hooked on the bodysuit trend. I love the simplicity of the look and minus the annoyance of when you have to go to the bathroom (sorry if TMI), its so easy to throw on with anything. A black leather jacket, is one of my favorite wardrobe pieces. It’s edge and can go with so many different looks.

Having basics pieces like jeans, classic tees/bodysuits, jackets and shoes in black and/or white is so important because you can build upon them and because they go with everything you will have pieces that you can dress up, dress down and plan a look around (that rhymes lol).

Black and white never goes out of style…
