Create a Neutral Tablescape

B&W: beige and white is the new black and white in this table setting! I love a neutral palette, especially in the summer. Summertime looks don’t always have to consist of bright colors or white on white, neutrals are perfect to dress up or dress down a table setting anytime – but an especially great transition from the Summer to Fall seasons.
Last night, I dressed the neutrals down for a casual and airy looking tablescape for a Sunday dinner with BJ!
I’m telling you, these over-sized wine glasses from Crate & Barrel (mentioned here) are just fabulous and one of my latest favorites! They give instant elegance, while still being simplistic.

Layering is critical to adding depth and detail to your tablescape! Even if you are just having a salad, there’s no reason you can’t add a placemat, charger and dinner plate underneath. Plus, if you’re short on time or want to save yourself from doing it again the next night, your table will already be set for the following day. Not to mention, just in general, who likes looking at an empty table – why not leave it set sometimes?

As a huge Williams-Sonoma fan, purchasing many of the items from their ‘Open Kitchen’ collection (here) was a great investment. It is the quintessential everyday dinnerware and can be easily dressed up if needed.
