Mother’s Day 2016 – Recap

It seems we’ve started a new Mother’s Day tradition of a get together at my parents house, hosted by me and my dad. This year, we decided to do dinner instead of brunch and what a nice way to switch things up!

The casual, yet elegant Spring table setting was perfect. Lots of gold (of course) but with pop of color!

Mix & Match styles – it adds dimensions and even more to catch your guests’ eye.

For the dessert table, we went with pink (like last year, here, but with a softer, airy twist)

If you are entertaining from room to room, tying in aspects of the table setting is wonderful and creates a cohesive look. Take the dining room and breakfast room tables above, the orchids may be different colors but they tie together the floral selection and the way they are used – subtle accents, that add that pop of color!

We had a lovely evening celebrating our favorite ladies!
