Touch of Gold

It’s so funny that when I was younger, I wasn’t a gold fan – not in jewelry or decor. My mom would always say, “you’ll grow out of it” and I just rolled my eyes. I was into everything silver and couldn’t fathom turning my back on it for the color my mother adored.
As much as I hate to admit it, I have now become obsessed (cue mom saying I told you so) – not only in jewelry but especiallyyyyy home decor. I am so lucky that my mom and mother-in-law have gifted me such fabulous gold pieces over the past couple of years and am trying to put them to good use! This beautiful tray was a gift from Chana-mama (what I call my mother-in-law, Chana) and I just love these flutes that my mom found.

When having cocktails, I like to have a little something sweet to pair instead of always doing a savory bite. This fruit tart – appropriately heart shaped for Valentine’s Day- is the perfect accent to a lovely glass of champagne or rosé! As were these jelly bean ‘champagne bubbles’ as a tiny bite option (here). Switch things up and enjoy.

A touch of gold is just what you need for any gathering! 🙂
