Moscow Mule

My hubby loves a good moscow mule and it can ONLY be served in a copper mug (what a mule snob lol). While it is very simple to make, he says he loves the way I do it (not biased at all I’m sure).  
Don’t miss some garnish options below as well!


– 1-2 shots of Vodka, depends on how strong you want it – I typically do 1 1/2 shots (my hubby prefers Titos, but Hanger 1 is also a favorite of his ~ fun fact, also made in the US)
– 6 ounces of Ginger Beer
– 1 Lime
– Preferred Garnish – we had candied ginger on hand

Pour the vodka over some crushed or cubed ice (if cubed, I use 3 large cubed). Fill glass with ginger beer and squeeze in a wedge and a half of lime; Stir. Add preferred garnish, sip and enjoy!!

 You don’t need to limit yourself to garnishing/topping off your moscow mule with just a lime/lime juice. Try using candied ginger – add to your pick and either just garnish for the look or add and let sit in your mule for a little ‘sweet’. Try garnishing with a bunch of fresh mint, or mint & cucumber! Who wouldn’t love that yummy smell with every sip?! I’ve also seen fruit like apples & cinnamon, pomegranate & rosemary for a seasonal twist. Have fun with it 🙂
