{Wedding Wednesday: Be My…}

I’m assuming that back in the day a simple call or face to face was the norm to ask your besties if they would stand by your side on one of the most important days of your life…but now as our Pinterest perusing shows us – there are so many creative ways that have quickly become a replacement or compliment!

I don’t think you need to go overboard and freak out trying to pick something to do – whatever you do, keep it simple & thoughtful *emphasis on the latter* Don’t want to give a gift/write a note – if all of your friends are local, why not host a brunch at home? or go out to dinner at cute hotspot? Remember, anything goes but just keep it – say it with me, “simple & thoughtful”!

In my case, I went with a gift. You know I’m a champs girl (as are my bridesmaids) so that was the centerpiece to my gift request! I went with a split bottle of Veuve (my fav) but chose the rose since I was going with a pink theme. Using some “pin-spiration” I found a cute saying that I tied around the bottle. I also included a handwritten, personal note to each of my girls.

“Momma always says” (in my Forest Gump voice) handwritten notes never go out of style! They are a must in my opinion.

[Helpful Hint]
Wondering when to ask your ‘maids? Prior to your engagement party. Your engagement party is the kickoff of wedding festivities and along with introducing your loved ones to friends and family, it is a great time to introduce your bridal party…and get some photos in while you’re at it *wink*

Me and my amazing bridesmaids at our engagement party:
How did you ask your bridesmaids? What would be your ideas?
